Tess Robertson, a former WASP student from the class of 2020, is a senior at Longwood University majoring in Business Administration and Political Science with a focus on Aviation Studies. Apart from WASP, she serves on the boards of the Virginia Aviation Historical Society, the Virginia Aviation Business Association, Colonial Court Appointed Special Advocates, and is a senior member of the Civil Air Patrol. Passionate about breaking down barriers in the industry, Tess is pursuing a career in aviation lobbying and has spent the last four years working with Longwood to develop its inaugural aeronautics program. She also has a background in political work as a Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership Alumna and as a Governor’s Fellow under the Secretariat of Transportation in the Youngkin Administration. On track to finish her Commercial rating, she has continued her flight training through Longwood where she received a full scholarship along with the Willard G. Plentl, Captain Earle Worley, Charles Colgan, and Chad Weaver aviation scholarships. Tess enjoys spending time with family, playing piano, and flying as much as possible.
