DAniel j. Sherlock, USAF (Ret.)

Originally from upstate New York, Dan was raised in northern New Jersey where he attended high school at Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City.  Dan is a graduate of Saint Michael’s College in Vermont and was commissioned a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force through the ROTC program.

After completing pilot training he was assigned to Seymour Johnson AFB as an F-102 pilot. Subsequent flying assignments included F-4s, F-5s, F15s and F16s.  He proudly served in the United States and overseas locations to include the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand.  Assignments included operational and staff positions during peacetime and combat operations in support of Tactical Fighter Aviation.  Noteworthy positions of leadership include assignments as an F-15 Squadron Commander, Chief, Joint Concepts Division, Headquarters Tactical Air Command, F-15 Wing Commander, Numbered Air Force Director of Operations, and an F-15 and F-16 Air Division Commander. His final assignment was Commander of the 832nd Air Division, the world’s largest fighter training organization; Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.

Dan’s military education includes Squadron Officers School, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and Air War College.Dan retired as a Brigadier General.

Following his retirement from the Air Force, he was a Director for the International Investment Group, Santa Clarita, California, Project Manager for Resource Applications Inc., Falls Church, Virginia, and, as Chief of the Forces and Simulation Training Branch, Cubic Defense Applications Group, Joint Warfighting Center, Suffolk, Virginia.

He and his wife Jackie settled in Williamsburg twenty five years ago and have been enjoying full retirement for the last ten years. They enjoy traveling and visiting friends and family as well as volunteering for various organizations. 

Dan is presently serving on the Patriots Colony Board of Directors as Chairman and on the Riverside Health System Board of Directors.
